After 25 years in heavy industry as a project developer and project manager, he transitioned to custom home building and remodeling by working for custom builders for several years before going on his own.  He has earned a Certified Graduate Builder designation from NAHB and has an engineering degree and masters in business from Texas A&M.  He has two grown sons and a grandson. He is a native Houstonian and active member in his church.
